Attorney Mike Russo began his legal career with the Harris County District Attorney's Office as a legal intern from 2002 through 2004. In his time at the Harris County District Attorney's Office, Mike molded his trial techniques by observing most the experienced prosecutors in the state of Texas.

Upon graduating from The South Texas College of Law in 2004, he began working with the Galveston County District Attorney's Office. In his first year with the District Attorney's Office, he successfully tried numerous misdemeanor cases, including DWI (driving while intoxicated) and assault causing bodily injury. Mike was promoted to the Family Division, where he handled juvenile cases, including possession of controlled substances, motions to revoke probation, and first-degree murder. In 2006, Mike was promoted to the Felony Division.

As a felony prosecutor, he handled all types of felony cases, including drugs, aggravated assault, felony DWIs, motions to revoke probation, forgeries, credit card abuse, failure to register as a sex offender, and sexual assaults. He was a member of the Texas District and County Attorney's Association for two years and attended several seminars dealing with criminal trial advocacy and the law.

In 2007, Michael left the Galveston County District Attorney's Office to enter into private practice. Michael Russo has tried numerous cases and has years of actual trial experience as an attorney.
